Thank You Ruth for being here for us. Sorry I haven't been checking in often as i should. Life gets busy and so much to do during summer months. Frank's knee is much beter now that he got a cortisone shot, poor guy was in a great deal of pain. My eyes are worse and i only can see to read in the mornings. I will be so sad when i can't use the PC anymore, but U all can call me on the phone to stay in touch. I will keep my e mail so sandy can read it to me. Sandy is in collage now taking 2 classes, she is doing great. My friend Judy who has CA is getting more chemo and just hopes to live til xmas. She is very weak. My Son Derek is a great Artist, if you want to see his work,,,,Derek Beasley.com and scroll down to see his work, you don't need to sign in. Love you all Fran

Thanks for all you do and all the time, effort and love you put into this site...you ladies have really been a rainbow in the storm for me. I'm so sorry for not being here as much in the last few months...my brother-in-law has been ill and passed away early this morning. He's at peace now but it's been a really sad few months. Thanks again for all you do, what a special angel you've always been, even in the midst of all your own family struggles...I go for my two-month check-up and Zometa next week, will let you know what happens...much love your way my friend...Jane

Thank you all for your prayers, Glad to hear Pam's hubby is better too. How about you Jane? Did the DR find out why your feeling so sore, was it the RX meds? Let us know my friend. We all here pray for one another and keep in touch.<3 Hugs Fran

Hi to all my Fit sisters...I had a check-up recently and was telling my Onc that I was seriously thinking about stopping the Tamoxifen...he talked me into seeing a Reumatoid Arthtitis specialist first to see if it was in fact the Cancer meds or another problem all together. All I know is I just can't keep hurting in my joints like I do right now. I have to actually "will" myself to walk in the mornings...my ankles, knees and hips hurt so bad. The newest "fun" thing happening to me is finger/hand cramps, sometimes I can't hardly hold the steering wheel to drive. Then there's hot flashes on top of hot flashes...but I trust my Dr so much that I wouldn't dare stop the meds without us both agreeing...so he's getting me a referral to a great Arthritis Specialist, and we'll go from there. Thanks to all for your kind words and prayers for my b-i-l...he's now in a better place! Francie, hope Frank continues to get better...Pam hope you're doing ok and enjoying the Fall and Ruth will keep you and your dear husband in my prayers as I do all of my friends here on FIT. Hugs to you all, Jane

OH Jane.....I sure hope it is not RA.....I think I'd rather have the problem from the Tamoxifen...At least you can see the light at the end of the tunnel with that & hopefully your aches & pains will go away when you stop taking the Tamoxifen.
As for the cramps in your hands....Has your doctor done recent blood work to check your mineral levels? Sometimes hand cramps can be caused by low Potassium and/or Magnesium...Listen to Doctor Ruth...lol I was having terrible cramps in my feet and my Dr told me to eat Bananas...It worked. Also had low Magnesium a couple of years ago...took prescription strength Magnesium pills for 15 days...& they worked too..Just a thought......ANYTHING's better than RA........
I'm keeping you in my prayers my friend....You've been having a time lately!!!!!
Hugs & Love, Ruth

Glad to hear you are feeling better Fran............
The weather here in Maryland has been beautiful. I just love this time of year...I've been doing a lot of work in the yard getting it ready for winter.
Unfortunately, I put all of my flower pots away for the winter. I had to take advantage of my grandson Jake being here. He does the heavy lifting for me...lol So, I'm missing all of the bright flowers I had on my deck.....
My trees are just now starting to turn.....So, the next few weeks will be lovely. I just love the Fall.
Hope everyone is doing good.

Hello ladies! I haven't been on in a while, wanted to check in with everyone. Jane I was reading about your Tamoxifen. I was taking that until I had to have my hysterectomy. I am now on Femara. The Tamoxifen did cause me some discomfort, all of what you are saying, the Femara is much WORSE. My joints hurts so bad that I cant move sometimes. I hate it. I am taking Vitamin B6 and Caltrate now. I had a Bone Density done and I have Osteoporosis now. Walking does help some and you need to keep exercising your hands. I actually use one f those stress balls, I just keep squeezing it to keep my hands from "tightening up". Try walking even if it is for 20 minutes a day, it will help keep your joints going. I hope this helps. Again I am sorry I haven't been on lately. I did start a site on Facebook for anyone who is there also. I am determined to keep everyone from FIT together somehow, either here or there. It is a private group also, called PAWS (Pink Angel Warrior Sisters).
