Three favourite books... this is a hard one since I read a lot and like a lot.
Alex Miller's "The Tivington Nott"... the most recently read that knocked my socks off.
Annie Proulx "That Old Ace in the Hole" and all her other books
Steven Gould "Bully for Brontosaurus"... hard reading but worth the effort

Dear coyotecourageous... Are we the only two having fun here?
Rocks are like books and tell a story of their own.
I live in a geological interesting area.. a meeting of igneous and sedimentary.. I've forgotten a lot of the details but there are.
Granite... large boulders lying on the beach
Basalt.... big boulders tumbled about with the others
Garnet.... tiny tiny rocks that make the sand pink on Petrel Cove.
