Hi Ladies, I rec'd the CT/PET results yesterday. The tumor has grown back since it was removed on the 3rd of Dec. Soooo, start chemo on Friday, Taxatere and herceptin. The doc has high hopes for this treatment. Going to do two rounds, three weeks apart and do another CT/PET scan to see if the cancer is responding to the treatment. Belle (Lori)

Dear Lori, I'm sorry that the CT & PET scan showed that the tumor was back after removal in Dec. I hope your chemo goes well and that your cancer is soon a thing of the past. Hang in there and please keep us posted.
Love, Karen

Thank you all for your prayers and supprt. It is really appreciated. Made it through five hours of chemo today. Feel okay so far. I don't think the side effects will be as dibalitating as the first set of chemo. At least I hope not. I just don't look forward to going bald again. But I still have all my hats from last time. Isn't it silly what bothers some people ? Thanks again to all my sisters at FIT, you are all a God's send. Hugs to you all, Lori

Hi Lori...NO it's NOT silly to worry about the hair loss...we all do, and if I have to go through Chemo again...it'll really bother me all over again. I hated the baldness, but what I really disliked was the loss of my eyebrows and eyelashes...my face looked so "blank"... but then I went to a "for bald ladies only" party that some girls from my Cancer Clinic had, and we all sat there in all our bald glory and laughed and told jokes and had a great time...after that I really did feel better about the whole ordeal...knowing there were soooooo many in the same frame of mind as me. Good luck in your treatments, you remain in my prayers...much love, Jane

Lori, I didn't relish the idea of chemo again either but it came down to that or death and I am not prepared to do that yet, I have too many things I want to do yet.
I hated to lose my hair, it all fell out but it has started growing again. I've lost most of my eyebrows and eyelashes to so I also look "blank" without makeup. Don't go anywhere without now. On the other hand, think of the money your are saving on shampoo/conditioner and extra hot water to wash. Also not having to shave legs etc is a savings too. Got to look on the positive side of things!
Love n hugs, Babe

Thank you all for your kind words... I'll let you in on a secret... i loved being bald..... it was so easy!!! But I did learn how to paint on eyebrows and spruce the eyes. It is just the initial shock of not expecting that goose egg in the mirror when you look first thing in the morning.
Jane... thank you soooo much for saying I'm not silly... Really needed to hear (see) that. You made my day.
