Jersiana wrote this on another post: "It ain't never over."
Barbara is right. It is never really over. I tell people that once you have cancer, you always have cancer but that is not always a bad thing. It is just that cancer has changed my life forever.
FIT has been a gift from heaven. I learned so much from all of you and I was able to face cancer head-on because of you. I was able to help my family and others because of you. GOSH... I could not begin to tell you all you did (and are doing).
1.)Recommended Susan Love's book. 2.)Listened 3.)Gave feedback 4.)Advised me when possible 5.)Cared 6.)Shared 7.)Did not judge 8.)Made me laugh 9.)Prayed for me and with me 10.)ETC ETC ETC
Feel free to add to my list........
I thank my Lord I had cancer first in my family. I used everything I learned from you.
I love you, dear sisters. Each and every one.

Oh Kitty,
Thank you so much for your list.............It is exactly how I and all of our other "long time" members here at FIT feel.............
When I joined this site back in 2001, there were only 26 members. We all got to know each other very well......We all helped and supported each other over the years and became true Sisters..........We laugh together, we cry together and we scream together and beat our heads against the shower walls.
When we, 22 of us, got together in North Carolina many years ago, we found out that we were so close that we finished each other sentences, just like true "best friends" and "Sisters"......We all know that we are here for each other through thick and thin....We can come here when we are at the bottom of the barrell and always can count on each other to bring us UP. Over the years, we have found many new Friends who have become just as close and can always rely on each other.........It is absolutely amazing and a true blessing.
This is one of the main reasons we made the decision to continue with Friends In Touch when MSN told us that they were going to cancel us.
I will always be grateful for ALL OF YOU....You are the Sisters of My Heart and I love each and every one of you.
Hugs and Love, Ruth

Kitty...whatever "support, hope, prayer or friendship" you've gotten from all of us...we've gotten it back two-fold in you. You are such a positive and warm person and have brought a smile to my face at times when I didn't think I had anything to smile about...Ruth, you definitely claim a corner of my heart...you and this wonderful site have brought sunshine in the form of hope and friendship to so many of us...you ladies are such a blessing...we all give and take from FIT and because of our common journey we truly are able to help each other in ways that someone who has never travelled this road could never do! Hopefully many years from now we'll still be here to support each other! Hugs ya'll.......Jane

I can truly say, I don't know where or how I would have survived some days without this group of wonderful women. There's some that decided to move on, to those I owe a debt of gratitude too and I miss them. I know we'll always have a string connected to our hearts with one another no matter how far we roam. I'm glad that we decided to continue on when MSN decided to close the groups.......I just didn't think we could let go of the friendships and the family that we have developed through the years through this journey we have all been on and will continue to be on til we face our Creator and He gives us our new bodies and heals us from this disease and gives us our home where there will be no more parting. I hope to meet you all there some day when this life is over. My sisters, my friends! Love, Sherrie
