Hi Ladies, just wanted to check in to give you the results of my tests I had done this past Friday. The brain MRI was all clear...I have spastic nerve endings which are causing my headaches, same things which cause migraines, although mine are not that bad...the coordination pblm I'm having is caused by an inner ear thingy and I'm going to be referred to an Ear specialist for that. Now for the ct chest scan...It looked good...was a new spot on my spine but according to my Onc was trying to scar over, so he'll watch it but for now ok...there was a new development though, it seems I have a new "mass" showing up in my uterus...he says it may be fybroid...but is getting me a referral to a GYN to check it out. I am a little worried about this new finding, but again it may just be something simple so I've learned not to stress out too much until I know things for sure...so now I have a really "fun" appt to look forward to and will let you guys know as soon as I do. It's getting very HOT here in Ga...and the blasted misquitoes are beginning to make an appearance, but all in all it's still my favorite spot on earth...I love my home!!!!!!!!!!!!! Finley and Hannah are posing for their 4TH of July photos...will post them real soon...hugs to all of you...hope you're all in good health and enjoying life...Jane P.

Jane my dear friend...........I'm sorry I haven't been around much lately. My husband is in Respiratory Therapy 3 times a week and, between that, and our collective doctor's appoints, trying to get the yard work done (we had a really rough winter here in Maryland) and keep the inside of the house going....Then there are graduations, birthdays, school plays & dance recitals (WHEW!).....I haven't had much time for anything else....
I'm praying that the "mass" inside your Uterus is nothing....Are you on Tamoxifen? I'm not trying to scare you, but one year after my Mastectomy, I discovered that I had Uterian cancer. It is one of the RARE side-effects of Tamoxifen. Had a hysterectomy, which took care of the problem and continued on Tamoxifen for the next 4 years. I was told that as long as the "mass" was IN SITU...contained within the Uterus, it was easily removed and the problem was handled.......That was 9 years ago and I haven't had any problems since then (except maybe old age...lol) Although I admit it was very scary at the time.....
When you see the GYN, he/she will probably do a biopsy and you'll know shortly after that....Hopefully, it is a fybroid.
It has been hot and muggy here in Maryland also. This is NOT my favorite time of year. The hotter it gets, the more I slow down...lol However, My back deck looks beautiful and my plants are all thriving and blooming like crazy...so, all in all I'm a happy camper....
I'm looking forward to Hannah and Finley's 4th of July photos.....I guess I need to dress-up Da Mooch and take some photos so your guys head's don't swell up too much........
Take care my friend and PLEASE let us know your results just as soon as you can.
Hugs, Ruth

Hey Ruth Sweetie...WOW you've been busy girl...my grand-babies are coming to spend the month of July with me, I'm sooooooo looking forward to seeing them, we always try and get as much FUN in a month as we can. It's been VERY hot here, and is only going to get worse but we all expect that with Summer in Georgia! The heat is bad, but the humidity is unbearable...we're right on the water, so oh my goodness!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you for your great post...yes, I am on Tamoxifen...had two years of Femara, but was suffering through some not-so-great side effects so my Dr switched me over to Tamoxifen last August. I have been doing really good on the Tamoxifen so far! I have an appt for Wed 6/23 they will do an ultrasound and I see the OBGYN so will be sure to let you know what happens. A Question...How do you make your print BIG for Fran...I've tried and tried and it never works for me...let me know, ok! Thanks again Ruth for replying to my post...what's happened to our great board here...all our good friends never seem to drop in anymore...I really miss all my friends here...we'll have to do a new "Roll call" soon and see how everyone is doing. Much love my friend, stay healthy! Hugs, Jane

Hey girl............
After you finish typing a reply. Highlight your reply then...look up at the gray boxes over where you are typing.....There is a "B" for BOLD....Then go over to the "A" with an up-n-down arrow, click on that. You will see (on your post) a bracket with the number 2...change the number to 4 or 5 and that will make the print much bigger and "B" will make it BOLD. Try it a couple of times and you will see how it works....You can click on "Preview" at the bottom of your post to look at it before you actually post the reply....Hope what I'm telling you makes sense. If it doesn't let me know......I know our Frannie has trouble seeing, so we need to make it as easy for her as possible....
As far as our "action" on these boards....I know what you mean. When MSN cancelled our old Group, it just took the wind out of everyone's sails...plus the fact that, here on Proboards, we have no way to attract any new members. The newly diagnosed ladies always encourged everyone to post and help to support them. We no longer have that!!!! It makes me so angry.
A LOT of our members have requested that I start a new Group on Facebook and I've been seriously thinking about it. My problem, right now, is that I just don't have the time to devote to it. I will probably post here requesting opinions on whether to start a new Group on Facebook......What are your thoughts???
Please let me know how your appointment goes on the 23rd. What you are telling me sounds really familiar..like my situation. I was out-of-state (we were in Pittsburgh, PA for my husband's Lung Surgery) when I started bleeding & I went to the Women's Center at Univ of Pitts Medical Center. It was there that they dx me with Uterian Cancer (from the Tamoxifen)...but told me not to worry since it is a VERY slow growth type. That was in August 2001. I waited until we got home to Maryland in Sept 2001 to go to my GYN, who did another biopsy and finally did surgery in October 2001...All was just fine...Everything was contained in the Uterus and after it was removed (IN SITU) I didn't need radiation or chemo and continued on the Tamoxifen for the remaining 4 years.......I know, another surgery is daunting...but it all worked out fine for me.
Just keep me posted my friend.....
Hugs and Love, Ruth

Ruth, thanks, I'm going to try this "BIGGER" thingy...I always feel bad about not being able to make it larger print for our dear Fran! Yes, I would think that a group on Facebook might be the thing to do...I just miss all our friends and would love to know how everyone's doing. You are very special Ruth, you've always been here even with all your added responsibilities at home...thank you friend for your support and love...I feel like you are such a dear friend, wish we were closer...you are definitely someone I'd love to spend time with! Promise to let you know about my OBGYN visit this Wed...I've really had no signs of any problems, that's why my Onc thinks it may be a fibroid...we'll see!! Hugs, Jane P. 4

Hey Jane, I know I have been bad at being on here. I am so sorry to hear about your "mass". We are going to be positive that it is only a Fibroid. I have had many before and they were just that. I will say prayers for you that everything comes out just fine. I am sorry you are going through these headaches. I get migraines so I can definitely relate. I am going to start coming back on here more so I can keep up with you ladies more. If you need anything just give a shout out. Prayers coming at you kiddo.

Ok everyone I've got my appt for my Hysteroscopy procedure...it's scheduled for Aug 5th. I had asked that they wait until after July so that I could enjoy my grandchildren and my Dr didn't have a problem with that...so after Aug 5th i should know exactly what is setting up housekeeping in my uterus...HAHAHA Hugs to all, Jane
