Dear Bosom Buddies & Friends,
I had a WONDERFUL day and got SEVERAL HUGS and lots of WELL WISHES from friends around town. My new SWEET neighbor, Mine`, came over with a BEAUTIFUL MUSICAL CELEBRATION card for me and then we went out to the mall to POWER-WALK. Then my SWEET husband picked us up and we went to Olive Garden for an appetizer and a drink to CELEBRATE. I also got ((HUGS)) from employees there too.
Tonight my SWEET husband is fixing a SCRUMPTIOUS dinner for me! He also gave me a BEAUTIFUL MUSIC BOX which is PINK with a GORGEOUS BUTTERFLY on it and a Pink Breast Cancer Ribbon on the top. It plays the song, "WIND BENEATH MY WINGS". I love that song; it is the song that is played every year at the Race For the Cure ceremony when the survivors are called up on stage! It makes me TEAR UP!
Of course, even though it has been 10 years since my diagnosis, I remember that day very vividly. When my boys came home from school, my youngest, Jordan, came over to me and sat down by me. With a tear in his eye he said, "Mom you're NOT going to DIE are you?" I told him 'NO honey! I am going to have my surgery and my treatments and I am going to be FINE!" So here I am 10 years later still GOING, and GOING, and GOING!
