I am so excited! The doctor's office called this afternoon and my surgery date has been moved to July 13. I will have no chemo or rads!!! This will give me plenty of time to heal before school begins in August.
I have to admit that I am frightened about the pain. That TRAM flap was very painful 7 years ago. I am going to have the LD flap this time.
Has anyone on this board had the lattismus dorsi flap? Please tell me about your experience.

Kitty,
We used to have two members who had the Lattismus Dorsi Flap, but, I'm not sure if they followed us to this new site........
Hopefully they did and will respond.
I agree with you, the Tram Flap was VERY painful....I don't know if I'd ever have it done again......but, it is a great way to go for our younger members (I am 65 now and don't care about appearances much anymore...lolvh).
Hugs and Love, Ruth
