In a few hours, I will be in post-op. By 3:00 p.m., it should be all over. During my stay in the hospital, I will become a GrandKitty for the first time!!! I can't wait to meet my little Thomas. I have been washing and ironing crib sheets, receiving blankets, baby clothes, and hooded towels all day. ;D

The doctor decided not to induce labor so we are still waiting. I am excited. And you are right, Gaynelle... my job is definitely to spoil. It is payback time for my son... lol
The operation went smoothly and today, I almost feel like a real person again... almost. There is only one word that can describe operations like the tramflap, backflap, etc... "ouch!"

Oh, Ruth. My grandson is doing just great and that is the highlight. I am just tired. So much has happened this summer. I have cried on and off all day. I am usually stonger than this. In everything that happens, God brings blessings. But once in a while, it just feels like everything is crashing in. This is one of those times. Thanks for asking. I love all of you. Kitty

Kitty,
I know exactly what you mean........The healing process after the flap surgery is long and can be difficult.....You have good days and you have bad days...
Keep your chin up girlfriend....Pretty soon, the good days will start to outnumber the bad days.
Gentle Hugs, Ruth
ps. I'm happy to hear that all is well with the baby

Ruth,
This has been an ugly summer for me with the exception of our little Thomas. (My d-i-l is not healing well:high blood pressure, low iron and feels bad.) My uncle died a few weeks ago. (It is so sad but the blessing is that he is much better off in heaven.) A few days ago, my parents scared away a gang who burglarized their home but they got a LOT. It has been traumatic for all of us! (Again, many blessings... my parents were not harmed and are now looking for another place to live.) Cancer surgery and the preparation took away my entire summer and I do not feel physically able to go back to work. (I am thankful for no chemo, no rads, and NED) Casting Crowns, a contemporary Christian band, sings "Praise Him in the Storm". I just can't tell you how many blessings I have received this summer from sad events. However, I am totally exhausted. I need time to heal physically and mentally. Thanks AS ALWAYS for your encouragement. You are wonderful!!

Hi Kitty, sorry I haven't been around much and didn't realize you were having the tram flap this summer. I pray that the healing process is going well and that you're feeling much better now. You'll hopefully be very happy you did this once you're all healed up! Sorry to hear your uncle passed and that your parents home was burglarized....so thankful that they were not harmed....I know it scared them to pieces though. Praying they will find a very safe place to live soon. Gangs seem to be springing up closer and closer to where we live and it's a very scary thing indeed. I love the song "Praise Him in the Storm" by Casting Crowns.....it's true in every word. It's always amazing how our Father in heaven can take bad things and work something good out of them before it's all over. He is one amazing Father! Love, Sherrie

Dear Kitty, We all seem to be having busy summers, but I wanted you to know that you continue to be in my thoughts and prayers - you and your family. You have had a rough road this year. But you are right, God brings blessings even in the midst of the storm. My heart is with you, and I'm praying you get the physical and mental rest and restoration that you need right now. "The Lord Himself goes before you and will be with you; He will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged." ~ Deuteronomy 31:8 Love and hugs, Mary

This is exactly why I love all of you. Your words of encouragement mean so much to me. I kept my new lovely grandson today. My d-i-l is in ER. She had to have a blood transfusion and also has pneumonia. Please keep praying for us.

D-i-l is now home!! ;D She did not have pneumonia. Her iron was so low that her heart was working too hard and had produced fluid everywhere. She lost 15 pounds of fluid this weekend!!!!
Storm after storm but... The sun is beginning to shine again!!!!!!!!!!!! Praise God!!!!
