I'm a happily married retired grandma of four living in MI. I enjoy quilting, knitting, wildlife and my grandchildren.
At age 56, I was diagnosed with ductal invasive stage 1, ER+PR+ breast cancer. I underwent re-excision lumpectomy and lymph node excision revealing no further cancer and negative nodes. The next step was radiation therapy for 7 weeks followed by Tamoxifen for 3-1/2 years.
My faith in God, prayer and support from friends and family helped me get through this journey. It has been my great pleasure to lend support to others with cancer both online and in my own home town. My greatest wish is for a cure for cancer and other dreadful diseases.
A few weeks ago at my yearly oncology visit my doctor said "I think we have a cure here!"
