Just checking in to see how my friends here are doing. I finished my daily chemo for one month and now doing the self-injections. I have to do that 3 times a week for 11 months. This treatment plan goes for a whole year! Melanoma is a difficult critter to fight! I still have the fatigue and will have it the whole time, per my Oncologist. That is the worst of it. My mind wants to get up and go, but my body doesn't want to cooperate. Remember that saying, "My get up and go just got up and went".
My granddaughters are my faithful little visitors and are too young to recognize any difference in me, except maybe my response is slower. My husband is helping more to make their visits more fun. He made a tent this week from dining chairs and a couple of old sheets. They loved that and played with their teaset in the "tent" for a long time.
Love to all

Hi Betty,
Great hearing from you......and I'm so glad your chemo is over (well, except for the injections)......Hang in there girlfriend.....I'm hoping that you'll get your strength back, but I know it will take awhile.
I think of you often and you are never far from my mind and heart.
Love, Ruth

It is so good to hear from you Betty! I'm sorry that you're so tired all the time, but that goes along with the treatments. Praying you'll regain your strength swiftly once this phase of treatment is over. I bet those 2 little granddaughters brighten your days when they come to visit. My grands love the tents made out of blankets drapped over dining room chairs too...the more the merrier for them. Take care and stay in touch! Love & Prayers, Sherrie

Hi Betty,
It is so good to hear from you. I hope the injections that you have to give yourself will not be as difficult as the other chemo. It is so great that your grands live close enough to visit often. Children are the one thing that can light up a room and give us joy even when we are not feeling well. ((hugs))) Sue
