Keep my family in your prayers. My mother, sister, and I have been diagnosed with breast cancer in the last 6 years. Now, Dad is facing Chemo, Rads, and Surgery for colorectal cancer. I am tired and sad.

Thank you for the prayers. We really need them. My comfort is knowing that God has promised that we will face no more than we can handle.
I am making out my grocery list today. Tomorrow, I will cook and freeze for my parents. Then I will travel to Atlanta Wednesday. My husband has to remain at home because he has to help give communion Christmas Eve. We may spend our first Christmas apart.
Mom told me that Dad will begin treatments the first week in January. The operation is scheduled for the end of February. After that, he still has 4 months of chemo/rads.
There are worse things in this world but right now my heart is aching. I really need to stay there with them but I can't leave my job.
Cancer can be such a blessing. It certainly makes me stop my busy life and realize what is happening around me.
Thank you so much for keeping Friends-in-Touch alive.
